What can we help ACT veterans with?

Everything is handled here. Most clients have more than one entitlement across DVA, CSC, TPD and ADF abuse, so there is no need to hop between pages to understand your options.

Local Knowledge

On the ground in the ACT

Canberra is the heart of Australia’s defence establishment. Russell Offices house Defence’s senior command, the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) at Campbell trains the officer corps, the Royal Military College at Duntroon has commissioned Army officers for over a century, and HMAS Harman is a key Navy communications and personnel base. The ACT has one of the highest concentrations of serving and ex-serving members and Defence public servants in the country, and many carry service-related conditions that are never claimed, or are lodged and rejected on evidence that was never properly built.

Across Canberra, online by design. DVA and the superannuation funds now process almost everything by phone and online, so where you live no longer decides who runs your claim. You deal with the same expert team the whole way through, from Belconnen, Gungahlin and Woden to Tuggeranong, the inner north and south, and the wider Canberra region including Queanbeyan.

ACT Gold Card concessions

A Veteran Gold Card can open up more than DVA-funded treatment. The ACT offers free registration on one vehicle for all Gold Card holders, free or discounted MyWay+ public transport, a rates rebate and driver’s licence fee relief, administered by Access Canberra, Transport Canberra and the ACT Revenue Office and separate from your DVA entitlements. Some of the highest value concessions, including the household energy rebate, are tied to a TPI or War Widow assessment rather than the card alone.
