Brisbane has one of the largest serving and ex-serving populations in the country. Gallipoli Barracks at Enoggera is home to the 7th Brigade, Victoria Barracks in Petrie Terrace carries the city’s long garrison history, and RAAF Base Amberley to the west near Ipswich is the RAAF’s largest base. Kokoda Barracks at Canungra and the training areas at Greenbank add thousands more current and former members across the greater Brisbane region. Many transition into civilian life here, and a large share carry service-related conditions that are never claimed, or are lodged and rejected on evidence that was never properly built.

Total and permanent disability
Many veterans also hold TPD cover inside a civilian or industry super fund from later employment. A TPD claim is separate from DVA and from your military super, and it can often be pursued at the same time.

Abuse during service
Claims for abuse or serious mistreatment during service are civil claims under state law. Queensland has removed the time limits that once blocked historical claims, so matters going back many years can now be pursued. We act confidentially.
